Spondias pinnata, is a deciduous tree grows up to a height of 10–15m. It is native to the Indonesia and Philippines, but has been widely naturalized in South Asia, Southern China etc. The fruits can be eaten raw or made into jams or jellies. 

Medicinal properties

The bark of S. pinnata is used for the treatment of painful joints. It is also used to treat dysentery and diarrhea and vomiting. Leaves are used to treat urolithiasis, heartburn, digestive disorders and manage acid reflux. Fruit is edible and used to treat lesions, wounds, sores and to treat diabetes.
