Bauhinia acuminate is native to Asia. It is also known as Snowy Orchid Tree. It is widely cultivated throughout the tropics as an ornamental plant. In the spring, this tree is covered in lovely white flowers that produce a fresh, pleasant scent. It grows upto 3 meters . The leaves are bilobed and are 6 to 15 cm long and broad.   

Medicinal properties

Asian medicine uses extracts from the roots to cure coughs, the leaves and bark to treat asthma, the flowers to treat headaches, high blood pressure, and asthma.
