Area of Interest

Development of Tissue engineered in vitro models, Cell- material - microbial interactions, Bacterial biofilms and medical device related infections, In vitro diagnostic kit development.

Current Activities

Research activities involves studying material - cell - bacterial interactions in order to understand mechanisms of origin and persistence of Medical device related infections and for developing preventive strategies.

Use of three dimensional tissue engineered models to understand the molecular mechanisms involved cell material interactions and its effect on bacterial pathogenesis.

Immunomodulation by Pseudomonas Biofilms Pulmonary fibrosis-role of micro to nano sized particles a common component in air Study the modulations in molecular mechanisms of Klebsiella pneumonia infection Development of new therapeutics and in vitro diagnostics for infectious diseases.
