Ms. Jesna.P.V, PhD student of Dr. P.R. Umashankar, in the Division of In vivo Models and Testing, BMT Wing, SCTIMST won the Best Poster Presentation Award for her work on ‘Silk fibroin modified acellular porcine liver scaffold as a potent biological graft promoting constructive remodeling’, presented in the National Conference on Recent Trends in Materials Science and Technology (NCMST-2024) organised by Materials Research Society of India (MRSI) and Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology during June 25-27, 2024.

Through this work, she had developed a biocompatible method for augmenting the strength of weak decellularised tissue.
