Fellowship of the National Academy of Sciences-India
Dr TV Anilkumar, Scientist G, Division of Experimental Pathology, has been elected to the Fellowship of the National Academy of Sciences-India, for pioneering a technology for recovering extracellular matrix of mammalian gall bladder and fabricating biomedical devices. Indeed, he developed Cholederm, the first indigenous ‘Class D’ Biomedical Device of animal origin that satisfied statutory requirements of the Central Drug Standards Controls Organisation (Government of India), intended for graft assisted healing of skin wounds. He also holds Fellowships of the Royal College of Pathologists (England) and the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
